A very warm welcome to the Essener Kontakte e.V. website.

Our association developed in 1972 from a self-help group and supports people with mental illnesses in Essen. The association is neutral in terms of politics and religion and is recognised as a non-profit organisation.

As sponsor of a social psychiatric centre in Essen, we offer:

  • a contact and counselling centre
  • a daycare facility called TOR 23
  • a housing community, consisting of residential homes and an assisted living program

On the following pages we offer you an introduction to these facilities and the services offered.
